EPA emissions standards have changed significantly over the years, with today’s new off-road diesel equipment required to use Tier 4 Final (T4F) certified engines. However, many generators, construction machines, compressors, and other equipment still operate with older-tier engines. When those engines fail, replacing them with a Tier 4 Final engine isn’t always possible due to space, compatibility, or performance limitations.
